Dec 18, 2012 · I did install DD-WRT on my Linksys WRT54G2 V1 to gain more controls on this router. One of my main purpose is to set bandwith limit per MAC or per IP to all connected device using this firmware. Just to solve my problem on users that keeps hogging the network and downloading torrents all day that's why I decided to install DD-WRT.

There are some common procedures, and a general path, to getting it installed, though, so you can read along as I follow the DD-WRT Wiki's instructions for a WRT54G version 6 installation Sep 15, 2011 · Overall I would recommend Tomato as the best of these for access control and general versatile use, DDWRT for multi-wan setup, and OpenWRT for Asterisk (if you are working with a WRT54G router). Tomato is also good and easy to configure as a wifi bridge or client.
