Nov 07, 2016 · Orbi polls netgear.com every few minutes to check DNS availability (used to be every few seconds - see here) Orbi seems to use DNSMasq for DHCP as well. More info for those that know what they are doing: failover_detect_dns=www.netgear.com is used in the config to keep DNSMasq's available server fresh.
