Broadcasts will be in English and for the most part, I believe live. There's a pre-olympics preview that you can watch online that's also being shown live on CBC Television.
Some people might like NBC's coverage. In fact, I bet more people like NBC's coverage than the CBC's coverage style. Because if the CBC's coverage style was what the most viewers truly wanted, NBC would provide it. Their entire goal is to win over viewers' eyeballs. They even have a profit motive behind doing so. CBC doesn't have a profit motive.
