Solved: Wireless bridge between two WRT1900ACS routers
Apr 05, 2019 · Connect the two routers using a wired connection from any of port 1-4 in router 1 to any of port 1-4 in router 2. You can use a Wireless Media Bridge or Powerline Ethernet Kit to create a wired connection. DO NOT use router 2's WAN port. For a few years, I've successfully used two older WRT1200AC routers as a wireless bridge on 2.4GHz between two remote buildings. I use the bridge to transmit security camera feeds to a recorder. Now I'm attempting to replicate that with two WRT1900ACS routers and running into problems. I have the latest firmware on each of them. Next, on the bridge’s web configuration screen, use the setup tool to connect the bridge to your wireless network. The tool lists the active SSIDs it can find. Pick your network’s identifier, enter the password, and select Finish to reboot the bridge. Now you can disconnect the Ethernet cable between the bridge and your PC. For some reason the location of the wireless bridge screens were changed. They are there, but well hidden. I was able to configure the screens with my host router's SSID/password/security settings and selected a non-DFS 5 GHz frequency as suggested in one of the above posts.

Connecting two wireless routers without wires has many uses in a home network. If the home is not wired for Ethernet and there are several devices which need to be connected to home network then connecting them trough router to router wireless bridge is a good idea.
